Now that my commute is half of what it was, I’m not listening to audiobooks. While I’m really excited about driving less I’ll miss getting through books. I enjoy books and sometimes it’s nice to read rather than scroll online on my phone. So, I do plan to read during my hour lunch. Yippee! The funny thing about audiobooks is that the narrator’s voice can really change how I feel about the story. I’m still on a thriller and mystery
Time is just ticking away and September is already half way over. Can you believe it? As I mentioned on Instagram, I’m excited this week because I’m starting a new job and am really hopeful about the opportunities it will lead to. I’ll still be in banking but in operations (away from customers) instead of in retail (facing customers). The best part? I’ll be working closer to home which cuts my commute from 1-1.5 hours to 30-40 minutes a day.

Fun fact: 2 is my favorite number. So, it feels a little extra special that this month marks the 2nd anniversary of my little blog. Last year, I wrote a long post for both my birthday and blogiversary. It touched on my battle with mental illness and discussed the goals I had for myself and my blog. While it was heartfelt, it’s not the route I want to go this year. Although I’m still not where I “want to be”
